Goal of the week

Now that we are updated to this week our goal is to finish building the arm , since we came up with some ideas.  The only problem we might have that will be an issue is to  control the robot and the center of gravity. All the weight we put on the robot makes it difficult to move and unbalance leading it to fall. We are  also pickup new ideas from other groups as we go and we have been researching some  too. we didin't quite find what we wanted to yet but hopefully we will get what we want by wednesday so we will have enough time to finish building it by the end of the week.we will most likely fix the problem and create an arm by the end of this week so we can start picking up Tetrahedrons.

 we are a little behind because we are a bit slow on our next assignment which is to attach an arm.
The test for our  robot is for it to pick up a Tetrahedron  and place it on the pole.Robert is still workikng on the solidworks part of our robot which leaves us to just me and sabrina which is a little difficult to build but we will get there. we are still searching for some ideas on how to build the arm for the robot and will start building it on monday 3/18.

We have finally finished building the robot properly and got it to move.

Goal of the week

  Our goal of this week is to finish the robot as fast as possible , finish building it in solidworks , and our main goal this week is to start attaching an arm to the robot. . Basically once we finish the little things we can finally move on to the new stuff. The robot will probally completed by wednesday . Once that is out of the way we will able to attach an arm to it. Robert will most likely finish this robot on solidworks by the end of the week.

Repairing

 hello everyone , we are trying to fix robot after taking it apart  to fix the issue we had. we have tightened the wheels of the robot which was part of our problem. The next part is to connnect it to the battery and make sure it starts working. we should be done building the robot and start programming by next week. We are also once again progressing throug solid works just fine it will just take patience to finish.

The dissapointment

hello everyone , we need to get all of this done this week. Sabrina unfortunately could not make it today and we are struggling. we have built the robot and it worked fine but apparently something was wrong so we had to disassemble the robot and rebuild but atleast we know what were doing now. As for solid works it is a little difficult but once we build the base of the vex robot everything else should be a wrap. I hope we could finish this by thursday. We need to start to learn how to program so we can apply it to our robot and then we should be good to  go to our next step.

 

 

Our goal this week  is to fix this robot and get it back in shape as fast as possible so we can start Programming !

Programming

Hello everyone , since the last blog we have fixed our robot and we are just waiting for it to get checked. The problems we had was the battery was not charged and some parts were not loosened. we also tryed to stable the robot when putting the battery on it. we are  progressing through solidsworks and it willmost likely be completed by the next blog. We also got a little insight on how to program which I thought was pretty cool. You can command your robot to do exactly what you want by programming it , In addition you can repair it without physically touching it , all you need to do its click a few buttons on the program and it immediately changes your robot from going backwards to going forward or whatever else you would like it to do.
